Local mesh-friendly ISPs

The following Internet service providers (ISPs) offer service in the east bay and are "mesh-friendly." That is, their offerings include services that do not prohibit you from using mesh network technology to serve your community.
- Sonic.net, based in Santa Rosa, offers high-speed second-generation Fusion ADSL2+ (up to 30 mbps) in parts of the East Bay. Sonic.net also offers first-generation ADSL (up to 6 mbps) throughout California.
- Unwired, Ltd., based in Berkeley, offers high-speed wireless Internet access (up to 7 mbps) covering much of the East Bay. Note that their "consumer" packages prohibit sharing, but their "business" packages allow it.
- LMi.net, based in Berkeley, offers first-generation ADSL (up to 6 mbps) in several US states, including California.
